Smile…it’s a (St. Patrick’s) kind of weekend!

TGIF! It’s been another long work week and I’m SO looking forward to the weekend! Not only is it St. Patrick’s Day, my sister has been staying with us for the past couple of weeks and she’ll be here to celebrate with us! None of us are Irish, but it’s always a good reason to throw a few back and wear one of my favorite colors – GREEN! A green maxi skirt like this one above is a summer must have!

Wedding Wednesday: Asking your Bridesmaids to be in your bridal party

THE IDEA: Asking your Bridesmaids to be in your bridal party in a special way

Buffy

I like to pretend I’m crafty, but let’s face it, I’m really not. I just pin a lot! One thing I am good at, is creating things on Publisher. Sometimes I wish I were a graphic designer.

Tina

Anywho… I have been researching fun ways of asking my girlfriends to be my Bridesmaids. There are all these cute and crafty ways on the internet and Pinterest that I was SO planning on doing, but when it comes down to it, I just don’t have the time or the energy and I love creating things on the computer so I opted to go this way instead! I created one for each girl and sent them via email. A couple of them I was able to see them open in person, but the others are located in distant lands, so I got the excited phone call right after.

Wedding Wednesday: Something Blue

THE IDEA: Honoring the tradition of carrying “something blue

Something Blue is a phrase deriving from a saying about the items a bride should carry or wear on her wedding day for good luck:

Something old, something new,
Something borrowed, something blue,
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

I’m curious, what did you use as your “something blue” in your wedding? Or, how would you incorporate “something blue” in your wedding?

Tuesday Thoughts {a quote + a pretty vignette}

purple red 2purple red

Don’t live in the past…live in the present! All you need to do is get through the next 5 minutes! Love that quote. And I’m loving this little living room space! First of all, I really dig the unique color palette that’s happening. I basically love everything about this space. I’m really enjoying all the different patterns in the curtains, the rug, the sofa, the ottoman and the pillows. They’re all in the same red color family, but all different patterns and it works. The pale purple walls and the white furniture provide relief from the “busy-ness” of the bold, red patterns. And that ostrich…YES please!! Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope you’re having a fabulous week!
